I’ve always been inspired to help others, if it’s in my small town or even in another country. All my life I was taught to give back. Then in 2012, with the sudden passing of my daughter Isabella Rose. I knew I could help families all while honoring her. I didn’t want people to forget the most loved little girl. I wanted to share with the world the love and joy Isabella brought me.
I was extremely blessed and fortunate that my family took care of Isabella’s funeral expenses. It came to me while I was holding my daughter in the hospital, how do others get through this? You buy all the material things needed, all while being excited and then the unexpected can happen. It’s an overwhelming feeling that no one can understand until you are there. No one expects to plan their daughter or son’s funeral. After learning the statistics of stillborn babies, I knew I needed to help. I knew right in that moment, this was Isabella’s purpose.
I currently live and work in York, Pa. I work for an amazing salon as the front desk manager and makeup artist. I can truly say I love my job! After the passing of Isabella, I knew I wanted to live a positive life. I walked away from a career that I was comfortable in to a new adventure. I was ready to change my life in every aspect. In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with family, friends and most of all my dog Shawna. I love to travel, meet new people and see new places / things. I love nothing more than time spent in the sand with waves crashing in front of me. There is something so therapeutic about the beach.
In that, I’m still just a small-town girl loving life. Isabella changed me. She made me appreciate the small things in life. She opened my eyes to a whole new world. To forget all the negative and find the positive in anything! My promise to her is to live my life to the fullest, regret nothing and love more.
